What's nearby?
For those leaving Manaus towards Porto Velho, the M03 is 55 km from the ferry to the Castanho river, 12 km after the Embratel Epitácio Nogueira tower and 8 km before the Tupana river ferry and at the plate 168 km from BR. The trail leading to the camp is on the left side of the track (same side as the module). About 300m before the entrance to the camp is the home of Seu Edson and D. Greyce, closest residents and owners of the land where the camp is located. The module's southern trail can be accessed directly from the camp (trail exiting to the right). The northern trail entrance is located about 1km from the southern trail towards Manaus on the edge of your Orestes land and should be accessed by road.
Between the months of January and July part of the trails is flooded, making it necessary to swim or canoe to access some parcels. The northern trail is flooded after 4000m, right after the trail connecting with the TS. The last portion of the trail is located on high ground, without flooding, but to access it, it is necessary to cross an igapó of approximately 450m in length. The southern trail has flooding from 2000m up to 3000m it is necessary to cross 2 igapós each with approximately 90m in length, one 8m long and one 400m long. The 2500 portion of this trail remains flooded almost throughout the rainy season, but the 3500 is located on higher ground and does not flood. After 4200m, a new igapó begins that extends to the end of the trail. The 4500 portion of this trail is located in an igapó and also remains flooded throughout the rainy season. Where to get water
In the M03 there is a well without a wooden box dug 20m before the camp on the access trail. The well remains with water throughout the year. The well must be used to draw water for drinking and cooking. The well water must be treated with some type of disinfectant (such as chlorine) whenever it is used for drinking or cooking. It is recommended to take chlorine to play directly in the well as it is left unused for long periods and there may be proliferation of insects. If you are going to use the well water to bathe, remember to do this away from the well box to avoid water contamination. Also, keep the well closed. The well does not have a permanent cover, only an improvised one with canvas and wood, communicate if it is damaged. For the bath, a stream can also be used about 50m before the camp on the access trail.
Local staff
If you are going to need someone to assist in the field at M03 it is best to take someone guaranteed to help.

There is a bar near the Tupana River where you can have a coca cola or buy batteries.
