Researchers from PPBio Amazônia Ocidental / CENBAM participate in the 9th Brazilian Congress of Herpetology

The 9th Brazilian Congress of Herpetology held at Unicamp / Campinas / SP between July 22-26, 2019, counted with the participation of researchers from the National Institute of Amazonian Research - INPA and also members of PPBio Amazônia Ocidental / CENBAM, Dr William Ernest Magnusson (coordinator of Sdo INCT-CENBAM / PPBio AmOc) and Dr. Albertina Pimentel Lima, who presented lectures at the Symposium session entitled "Herpetology and Environmental Consulting: Current and Future Trends". The titles of the lectures were: "Impact assessment: spatial, temporal and political aspects, given by Dr. William and," The monitoring of Herpetofauna in Environmental Consultancies: the data generated are useful to assess impact or conservation of diversity ", given by Dr. Albertina.
 
In addition to the INPA researchers, the professors of the Federal University of Amazonas, Dr. Marcelo Menin and Dr. Igor Luis Kaefer, also participated in the event, as well as Gabriel Salles Masseli, graduate student in the INPA's Graduate Program in Ecology. The titles of the lectures presented were: "Diversity and Ecology of Tadpoles in the Central Amazon" (Dr. Menin), "Genomic landscape analysis reveals the role of ecological gradients on gene flow of an Amazonian frog" (Dr. Igor) and, "Composition and ecology of a snake assemblage in an upland forest from Central Amazonia "(Gabriel Masselli).
