CENBAM receives visit from 3 specialists from INABIO / Ecuador

Between July 9th and 13th, 2018, CENBAM received the visit of 3 specialists from the National Institute of Biodiversity of Ecuador (INABIO), specialists in mammals and invertebrates. They were at INPA to take the course "Obtaining infrared spectrum data from collections", which was taught by the INPA / CENBAM technician, Patrícia Gomes Araújo. This course is part of the Brazil - Germany - Ecuador agreement, in which Dr. William Magnusson participates. They were received by our deputy coordinator, Dr. Noemia Kazue Ishikawa, INPA researcher and specialist in the field of Mycology.
 
In addition to the course, the specialists participated in a quick training on the Morpho Platform and visited the INPA Herbarium and its Scientific Collections of Mammals and Invertebrates. After visiting the collections, specialists in the invertebrate area were received by Dr. Márcio Luiz de Oliveira, curator of the Invertebrate Collection. On the last day of the course, they visited the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve to see a portion of RAPELD.
