The Agua Boa field-site of Embrapa Roraima is approximately 28 km for the center of the city of Boa Vista, on the BR-174 highway in the direction of Manaus. Access to the site is by an unpaved side road of about 4 km which links the BR-174 to the base of the campus.
The area of the standard collection sites in the savanna at Água Boa is about 616 ha.
